For as long as I can remember I've been making Tiramisu. Growing up in an Italian household, this was a staple dessert that I have been perfecting for years. "Tiramisu" translates to "carry me up," and that's exactly what a good dessert does.   3. As for the egg white, whisk until thick and foamy and add into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the layer of biscuits (we had ready earlier). Again, dip the fingers and place side by side on top of the layer of mixture. Lastly, top with all the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  5. Sieve the cocoa powder on top of the tiramisu. Cover the container and place it in the fridge 8-12 hours and serve!

Creamy, chocolatey and with just a hint of coffee, tiramisu is the darling of Italian desserts. These individual portions of tiramisu are well dusted with cocoa, layered with lots of light, mousse-like cream with a thin, moist looking sponge. There was a strong brandy aroma and a sweet creaminess. Tiramisu tastes like a dream in your mouth. It is a wonderful combination of light cream and strong coffee that comes together in just the right way.
